Leading and daily managing the team personnel and their wellbeing, the high demand workload, the set expectations with the client, manage the project engagements with the customers, resolve escalations and provide input to all relevant stakeholders.Key activities and responsibilities: • Management of technical team including job allocation, team training, coaching and day to day operational management.• Ensure effective utilisation of >85% average billable hours across the team.• Collaborate with the Datacom internal team (e.g. security team) to win new business and deliver quality projects.• Provide hands-on technical leadership and guidance to ensure the team remains current on technology and methodologies and that all deliverables are of the highest quality.• Manage technical projects, provide detailed estimates for work required, weekly reports, project plans and continuous stakeholder management.• An integral member of the sales team - develop presentations, proposals, Statements of Work and assist with RFP responses.• Accurately price both T&M and fixed price work to ensure successful, timely and profitable delivery.• Manage critical incidents and technical escalations, drive to an effective resolution, inform stakeholders and report accordingly. • Develop and support the team growth in size, technical maturity, profitability and knowledge, while developing a healthy pipeline of work.• Support the Datacom strategy for the respective business unit.• Continuous DevOps implementation for greater improvement in efficiency. This included the day-to-day management of ~17 staff members across 3 geographic locations (Wellington, Auckland and Christchurch). This included approx. 2500 extensions and over 15 PRI.(3) Bulk Relocation of Users – over 25 projects during 5 yearsPlanning and execution of complex telephone systems and network transfers on a large scale across multiple countries and networks.(4) Call Centre Project – 8 monthsWorked closely with Gen-I and DataCraft to migrate analogue telephone system to a Cisco-based VOIP solution (Cisco Call Manager). Responsible for capacity planning and technical execution of the migration project (incl. testing).
