Peter Block asked me if I would consider delivering the Flawless Consulting Workshops in Europe, which I was delighted to accept. Following working intensively with Phil Grosnick, President of Deigned Learning, I am now an Affiliate of Designed Learning. I appreciate the simplicity, clarity and practicality of the ‘Flawless Consulting’ model, having been introduced to it by a Mentor in 1999. He gave me a loan of a first edition of Peter’s book, and said: “Joe, now you are about to become a consultant, if you read anything, you MUST read this.” Sound advice. And the Flawless Consulting model informed my beginnings in consultancy. I love the goal of ‘solving problems so they stay solved’ and the binocular focus on both the problem and how the problem is being managed. The focus on task and relationship.It was great to work with Phil, the co-creator of the Flawless Consulting training along with Peter. it is excellent training material, and is of benefit to anyone who has to work in settings where they have no direct power or authority to make things happen.
