From overseeing 3000 pieces of content a year for Netflix, to directing seven, hour-long films on Hulu, to managing Audi’s digital and social evolution, my goal is to help our partner brands “get chased” in a crowded and competitive market. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate enough to work with some of the best agencies in the world and together we have been named Agency of the Decade, Agency of the Year, Digital Agency of the Year, and Small Agency of the Year. My teams have won everything from the Cannes Titanium Lion, to the One Show Integrated Best In Show, to the Grand Clio. Our work has been featured on the cover of Contagious, the front page of Reddit, and as a special feature on the Spider-Man Homecoming DVD release. We describe our unique approach as "storytelling for the new economy," focusing on how brands can tap into new media and modern relationships and avoid the pitfalls of one-way “ad” thinking. This philosophy has led to award-winning and effective work for clients like Audi, Staples, Method, Hulu, Netflix, Albertsons, Amazon, Intel, Pokemon Go, and Apple. One example of where this came to life is the co-branded films we shot with Audi and Marvel, two for Spider-Man and one for Captain Marvel. While taking on these projects, we challenged Audi to shift their approach from a product-first storyteller (traditional) to fan-first one (new economy). The resulting pieces were highly effective (the most viewed online content Audi ever released) because they valued the relationship fans have with Marvel content and created extended narratives in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Another example is the blockbuster Netflix project, Spoil Yourself. In this project we gave the world a way to spoil (for themselves) the endings of the biggest shows and movies on Netflix with the push of a button. While this sounds like a terrible thing for an entertainment brand to do, it was based on research that showed how fans were more likely to interact with content after its secrets had been spoiled. The site was so popular, fans spoiled themselves over 9M times in the first week alone. -
