About Joel Cox

Starting my first online business as a 20 year-old college student at CU Boulder, I knew digital advertising was in my blood. After 6 years in dynamic Fortune 500 sales organizations, I cut my digital teeth at Digital First Media's in-house ad network, helping to launch and scale AdTaxi Networks as one of its first employees. After rising through the ranks, I risked my career to start something from the ground up with the co-founding of Strategus in 2014. In 2015, we pioneered programmatic OTT/CTV advertising by running the nation's first programmatic OTT/CTV campaign. We've since executed more than 15,000 campaigns coast-to-coast, working with brands including Burger King, Honda, Suzuki, Rooms to Go and Fox Searchlight Pictures. I now lead strategy and innovation initiatives within our Strategus Labs testing & new product development division where we continue to be first-to-market with new OTT/CTV enhancements including the most comprehensive Attribution Suite in the business. I thrive on the relentless pursuit of “What’s next in data-driven advertising.” Collaborating across executive, sales and operations teams, I've helped earn Strategus a place on Inc. Magazine’s list of fastest-growing private companies for three-years running, and its place in history at the forefront of the digital media revolution. In my free time, I am an avid outdoorsman who sits on the Board of Directors of the Butterfly Pavilion. I live in Denver with my wife, Jenny and my dog, Kobe.
