Appointed by French Prime Minister to provide advice to French government, promote France's business attractiveness and innovation, support French companies and entrepreneurs around the world and facilitate business activities between France and foreign countries.

Internally oversees the company’s R&D portfolio and ensures its alignment with corporate strategic goals and targeted markets. Externally manages relationships with corporate partners, seeks and evaluates new licensing opportunities and target markets, and secures project funding through collaborative research agreements.

Project Leader for Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), a genetic orphan disease. I manage and supervise all aspects of project management including:• Internally design and synthesis of target analogs, SAR analysis, all research decisions;• Externally all relationships with several outside research collaborators, academic laboratories, fundations, and government representatives.

• Participated, in collaboration with the Business Development group, in finding suitable funding for clinical studies of Paratek’s anti-malarial pre-clinical candidate.• Developed in collaboration with biologists and computational chemists, via rational drug design and lead optimization, novel tetracycline analogs as pre-clinical candidates for the anti-inflammatory (multiple sclerosis) and anti-malaria therapeutic areas.• Supervised research associates.

• Developed in collaboration with biologists and computational chemists, via rational drug design and lead optimization, novel tetracycline analogs as pre-clinical candidates for the antibacterial (with focus on oral activity against multiple-resistant organisms) therapeutic area (Gram positive, broad spectrum, and respiratory tract infections).• Supervised research associates.• Participated actively in Paratek’s Safety and Patent Committees.

• Developed in collaboration with biologists and computational chemists, via rational drug design and lead optimization, novel bioactive molecules for the obesity and diabetes therapeutic areas, both metabolic disorders.• Participated in projects ranging from exploratory chemistry to lead optimization and pre-clinical candidate selection.• Expanded my knowledge in pre-clinical drug evaluation areas such as pharmaco-kinetics, pharmaco-dynamics, oral bioavailability, and Blood-Brain Barrier permeability.• Researched novel parallel synthesis techniques and helped with their integration at Bayer.• Fully equipped and managed a medicinal chemistry laboratory, and supervised two research associates.• Participated actively in the Departmental Recruiting and Safety Committees.
