Joel is an Environmental and Coastal Professional with an early career covering 5 years experience. Joel is a diligent professional with technical knowledge in coastal and environmental management, environmental approvals, environmental compliance, monitoring, auditing, climate change adaptation and GIS. Graduating in 2020 with a Masters of Environment (Climate Change Adaptation Major) Joel brings an enthusiastic and innovative approach to environmental and sustainability challenges. Currently at GCWA, Joel is responsible for managing a number of projects related to coastal and estuary management, environmental science and waterways use. Joel assists in progressing GCWA planning and policy agendas, manages GIS datasets and works closely with Project Managers to develop and implement management plans that ensure GCWA is meeting all planning and environmental approval requirements.During his time with AARC, Joel worked to support numerous exploration and mining companies including undertaking and leading field works, delivering project approvals and providing high quality technical reports. Joel brings an ability to develop strong relationships with stakeholders and is a great team player.Joel’s skills have also been developed in various internships with local government, private environmental organisations and NGO’s.
