With over 23 years of experience in pediatrics and healthcare informatics, I am passionate about improving the quality, safety, and efficiency of patient care and clinical workflows. As a Vice President and Chief Medical Information Officer, I have led the implementation and optimization of electronic health records (EHR) and ancillary system solutions for Valley Children's Healthcare, one of the largest free-standing pediatric healthcare systems in the nation.In my most recent role as Medical Director at Valley Children's Primary Care Group, I provided leadership and guidance to physicians and nurse practitioners in primary care practices throughout the central valley, California. I also collaborated with other senior leaders, IT staff, and external partners to ensure the alignment of clinical and business goals, and the integration of EHR and AI systems across the network. Some of the skills I applied and developed in this role include workflow optimization, data analysis, change management, and stakeholder engagement.
