A primary goal for the SPA (Strategic Planning) is to outline and implement a work program for successful implementation of the General Plan 2025 Update. This position manages a team of planners that are responsible for high-profile strategic planning initiatives, including Transit-Oriented Community plan development and implementation, the Rio Reimagined PHX project, and other cross-disciplinary projects involving land use, zoning and infrastructure relationships in unique and diverse context.This SPA will represent the PDD in developing and implementing various land use documents, plans, and publications. The position will be expected to manage complex planning projects, programs, and working groups; that require the ability to make sound, independent decisions necessary to execute specific actions around land use plans and policy, while keeping management updated and informed. -
