I was awarded a full-time fellowship to work and conduct research inside the Texas Senate during the 87th Legislative Session. I am the lead policy analyst in the Senate Committee on Natural Resources & Economic Development for Senator Lucio's membership on the committee. I am also the lead policy analyst in (non-membership) Senate Committees of Water, Ag., & Rural, Business & Commerce, Local Government, and Transportation. As a policy analyst, I conduct research on bills, create lists of pros/cons, carry out cost/benefit analysis, and make vote recommendations.Through the fellowship, I am able meet with local and state leaders for weekly sessions to canvass leadership development and policies that affect the community. This unique fellowship program is named after the late Gregory Luna, a long-serving Texas Senator, a strong education advocate and onetime chair of the Senate Hispanic Caucus.

● Plan, prepare & deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences● Find new and productive ways of teaching over 140 students, helping them learn more efficiently and identifying and selecting different instructional resources and means to meet students' varying needs.● Perform certain pastoral duties including student support, counseling students with academic problems & providing student encouragement

• Mining large data sets to unearth revenue creating opportunities • Assisting land department in data collection, processing, and lead generation• Determining pertinent and non-pertinent document relating to mineral ownership information• Creating and maintaining efficient processes in a startup environment• Extensive user-testing on internal and external facing application

• Learn all parts and functions required to flow-back hydraulic fracture job fluids• Shut in and bleed off live oil wells in between fracking and wire-line operations• Monitor well head and casing pressures on live-shut in wells• Supervise all equipment on well pad site in anticipation of fracking crew arrival• Assist oil well testers with pressure control operations after fracking job is complete
