Permashire Farms is a growing network of small, multi-site neighborhood gardens in and around Denver, CO. Our vision is to scale down our food system by focusing on local ecosystem regeneration and shared responsibility. Getting people excited about working together will lead to self-reliant economies; which reduces our dependency on large corporations and industrial agriculture. Every farm participant helps by trading skills, sharing tools, bartering and volunteering their time. Permaculture provides a toolkit of design principles and ethics for regulating consumption, conserving resources and sparking community action. Ideally, all of our farms will be preserved by ongoing community involvement and become platforms of collaboration between local artists, designers, urban growers and health practitioners.
