Funded by the State of New Mexico and working in association with New Mexico State University, M-TEC is a design consultant for the local economy. As an assistant engineer my duties included working with Computer Aided Design software, namely SolidWorks, for use of design, file management, and design review. I have been exposed to the entire design process from design and re-iteration, to the manafucturing of prototypes.Technical Skills: SolidWorks CAD file review, implementation, and file organization. Dees' Sawmill introduced me to the manufacturing enviornment where I learned to work with what was available. I have been apart of building and re-engineering the mill with better standards and implementation of better electro-mechanical equipment. My duties included general maintenence, overhaul assistance, troubleshooting of electro-mehanical equipment, operation, and general labor. As a result of my duties I have gained extensive insight into process implementation, manufacturing responsibilities, and machine design.
