A Containment Support Worker aids in installation of specialized equipment and robotics within Pressurized Reactor steam generators. Assists in the disassembly and reassembly of the reactor head and associated components during the refueling process. Assists in the movement of spent nuclear fuel during the refueling process.

This job required me to have security clearance and extensive background checks. I worked at 4 different Nuclear plants in the U.S.. My duties included extensive training unique to the industry, material handling in sensitive areas, foreign material exclusion, decontamination, understanding complex procedures unique to the nuclear industry, etc. One of my favorite accomplishments is I helped develop a better procedure for preventing foreign material from entering sensitive areas of the plant.
