Responsible for developing, coordinating, and integrating plans, orders, and policies to ensure our six major subordinate commands, comprising over 39,000 military and civilian personnel distributed over 37 states are properly trained to execute missions in support of contingency operations. To support this mission command role, focus on implementing supply-based Army Force Generation (ARFORGEN) IAW USARC directives. In addition, as the theater assigned TSC for U.S. Southern Command, build and maintain strong relationships with U.S. Army South and USSOUTHCOM to ensure the command’s ability to mobilize and deploy to support the full range of military operations in that area of responsibility. In this capacity, mobilized US Army Reservists in support of relief efforts in the wake of Hurricane Sandy in fall of 2012. This was the first-ever use of USAR forcess to support domestic authorities. -
