Director of Operations and Plans for the 377th Theater Sustainment Command (TSC), one of 5 TSC’s in the U.S. Army and the senior logistics headquarters in the U.S. Army Reserves (USAR). Directly supervised a staff of 6 field grade officers and 4 senior NCOs. Responsible for developing, coordinating, and integrating plans, orders, and policies to ensure our six major subordinate commands, comprising over 39,000 military and civilian personnel distributed over 37 states are properly trained to execute missions in support of contingency operations. To support this mission command role, focus on implementing supply-based Army Force Generation (ARFORGEN) IAW USARC directives. In addition, as the theater assigned TSC for U.S. Southern Command, build and maintain strong relationships with U.S. Army South and USSOUTHCOM to ensure the command’s ability to mobilize and deploy to support the full range of military operations in that area of responsibility. In this capacity, mobilized US Army Reservists in support of relief efforts in the wake of Hurricane Sandy in fall of 2012. This was the first-ever use of USAR forcess to support domestic authorities.

Sole Army officer in a Joint billet within a major Navy subordinate command (Navy Component Command of US Transportation Command). Director of Joint Plans, Strategic Studies/Analysis, and Wargaming at the Navy's Military Sealift Command (MSC), responsible for supervising a staff of two military officers and eight Department of the Navy civilians engaged in development of, and approving all deliberate and adaptive joint planning, strategic studies, and wargaming requiring MSC support. Specifically, establish active liaison with USTRANSCOM, the Combatant Commands (CCMDs), the Joint Staff, the Military Services, and Department of Defense (DoD) Agencies. Spervises the development of sealift planning in support of Time Phased, Force Deployment Data (TPFDD) and/or force flow in support of CCMD Operations/Contingency plans, and provide MSC representation and involvement in DoD, Joint, and Service strategic mobility studies and seminars. Additionally, coordinated with MSC, USTRANSCOM, the US Maritime Administration, and US Fleet Forces staffs/components on key strategic sealift programs and projects. Through diligent management of government physical assets (ships), saved the Department of the Navy more than $88 million annually.
