I work as a peer mentor for new students to help retain students and help solve problems they may be having while attending Ivy Tech.

I worked in the College of Liberal Arts as well as the Ivy Tech Academic Advising office as an office clerk. Duties included filing, student assistance face to face and over the phone, working with the school appointment software and working with the student database. Other duties included going on-site to other schools to help students see the value in higher education and to help student retention.

I attended Purdue University under the Honor's Sociology and Honor's Anthropology program. I majored in Sociology and minored in Anthropology. I was fortunate to have attended one graduate semester as an undergrad and I was able to maintain a 3.84/4.0 cumulative GPA.

Customer service, coaching new employees, sales.

This was a Summer season position that began as a part time but quickly turned into a full time. This is a fast paced office environment with many duties including filing, account payments, batch notice letter creation to over 320 residents, understanding of state and federal HUD housing rules and regulations along with state and federal laws.

I began in sales and was promoted to the new call center interacting with customers from over 30 stores across Ohio. I was in charge of an important role involving the Verizon customer care software that alerts the team of overages, upgrade opportunities and customer support needs. We process both revenue and loyalty campaigns to make sure every aspect of the customers service has been taken care of. We also make sure our stores are listed properly on Internet databases, maps, etc.
