I had my first exposure to competitive "sales" in the fifth grade when my school held a bike-a-thon and would reward a bonus of $100 for the person that sold the most sponsors. Knocking door to door and delivering a pitch, was the start of my education; I may not have the bike I road back then, but I still hold the passion to be #1 and finish on top to this day. I’ve spent my career in sales doing a few things – exceeding revenue goals, building a tream, putting others first, creating sales programs that reduce turnover, onboarding new hires faster and making people feel valued and rewarded. I’ve launched new verticals, have overseen the go-to-market strategy for some of the most successful initiatives in company history and have put in processes across businesses that redefine how some of these companies work and succeed. To this day, programs I created are still be done and that makes me proud!In my latest project, I am committed to doing what I am most passionate about – growing a sales department for a new company! I follow a solutions based/customer needs based approach to selling. As a sales leader, I believe a few core principles – Leading in the trenches. As a manager, I don’t sit behind the desk. But I get involved and help each seller and know when to back off and help them succeed. I also believe in having a plan. A plan to succeed. A plan to adjust the plan. And a plan in life.Who am I, otherwise -Disney Junkie – I’ve been to Disney more than any grown up should, but don’t plan on slowing down. Love to watch sitcoms (old and new). Some of my favorite authors are Stephen King and John Grisham. The latest book I loved was Bob Iger’s biography on succeeding at Disney.
