Joel Garcia is the founder of several early stage companies that utilizes his previous engineering and technology experience from companies such as Hughes, Qualcomm, Nokia and Northrop Grumman in his current entrepreneurial work.After receiving his MBA from the Anderson school of management, his entrepreneurial endeavors have leveraged technology in such diverse areas as e-learning and gourmet food services where Joel has leveraged CRM systems, wireless technology, and cutting edge web based customer acquisition tools. He serves as a technology consultant to a large multinational service firm where he has accessed a global network of contacts in the exciting area of convergence between the communications, cleantech and technology space. His consulting and capital advisory company, CM Tech Partners assists early stage companies with business and capital funding challenges. Joel co-chaired a SIG (special interest group) of CommNexus, which is a consortium of hundreds of communication related companies. The ECO Com SIG focuses on the how CleanTech products, services and strategy can benefit these companies' future business success. In addition, Joel was an entrepreneur in residence at CONNECT, a globally recognized organization fostering entrepreneurship in the San Diego region by catalyzing, accelerating, and supporting the growth of the most promising technology and life sciences businesses. He provides business and investor advice for early stage companies working to get funding for their companies.He is currently a founder and CTO of an AI company focused on career assessments and upskilling individuals in order for them to reach their ideal career aspirations.Specialties: Extensive experience in high technology environments, business analysis and strategy, design, analysis, manufacturing, project management, and total quality management.
