Training includes EMR use and efficiency (EPIC: Ambulatory and Inpatient) PACS radiology viewing software and Dragon Dictation.Instructional design of new hire training platform. At the elbow program support and troubleshooting for the department of Orthopedics at Duke Health network. Direct support for roughly 90 providers and accompanying staff. Assisted the Uniroyal Tires account in promotion of their ‘Michelin Signature Soccer Program.’ Made calls to tire dealers pitching the benefits of the program and answering any questions that arose. Wrote and developed a ‘Q & A’ document for training purposes for other freelancers.

Wrote a minimum of two articles a day, with some days writing as many as five for daily publication. Articles included profile pieces, features, breaking news, and local county government. For two days a week, worked as the night editor for the paper and edited all copy that was going into the next days publication. This included reading copy, posting articles to the web, and making corrections in accordance with AP style as needed.

The Mitchell News Journal, Spruce Pine, NC (August 2008-April 2010)Hired after internship within the company at a different paper. Attended and reported on at least two sports games a week. Wrote three-five news articles each week in addition to the sports page. These articles included but were not limited to government meetings, features, and general news reporting. Copy edited the 20 page paper before every weekly publication. Laid out at least three pages for publication in Adobe InDesign and edited the photos for those pages in Adobe Photoshop.
