Provided support for Energy Systems Group (ESG), subsidiary of Vectren Corporation, on a CHP plant, as part of an energy savings performance contract (ESPC). This plant is located at NASA’s Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center (JSC).The CHP facility operates in parallel with the utility, meeting nearly 70 percent of JSC’s electric requirements, all JSC’s steam requirements, and roughly half of JSC’s chilled water requirements. Capable of operating as an islanded microgrid, the CHP plant provides energy for critical mission operations such as ISS Mission Control and the Orion program in the event of a utility power disruption. The CHP plant produces 11.9 megawatts of electricity via two 5.7-megawatt combustion turbines and one 500-kilowatt steam turbine. Using waste heat from the combustion turbines, two heat recovery steam generators will produces 50,000 pounds of high pressure steam per hour. The steam will be simultaneously used for heating and to generate chilled water via existing steam turbine-driven chillers. This highly efficient CHP plant will reduce greenhouse gases by approximately 20,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide annually.

Supported Jacobs Project Management Co. on a Central Utility Plant Project in Houston with weekly schedule updates and monthly job reports.

Worked on a Master Schedule Plan and prepared Mini Schedules supporting documentation and timing for equipment Operational Demonstration.

Created and maintained the schedule for the Central Utility Plant at Ft. Detrick, MD.

CPM Analysis to review and approve schedules submitted by contractors. Also analyzed schedules to substantiate delay claims on the $100M project.

Created and maintained the schedule for rebuild of the Pentagon after the terrorist attacks on 9/11.

HCS was contracted to develop and maintain the schedule for the FBI Washington Field Office. Our responsibilities included walking the site to review progress, attend progress meetings, review monthly pay applications submitted by the contractor, preparations of a monthly narrative in reference to project schedule status from the previous month, and to prepare complete estimates of change orders submitted by contractors, and litigation support.

We were tasked with designing the IV Solutions Plant in Moscow, Russia. Our job was to strengthen the existing structure and plan the design of the plumbing and electrical systems.

Created a CPM schedule to organize the Desarrollo Urbano Sanfadila housing project. The project consisted of 15,000 housing units, the contract totaled over $1 billion.

This project was one year behind schedule when HCS was contacted. We were contracted to prepare an integrated CPM schedule for this $350M phase of the $650M project. We monitored the daily progress of all contractors involved in this modernization project.

Prepared schedules for: An underground steam line installation at the Naval Air Station on Coronado Island; A Marriott Hotel in Hollywood; A prison in Wiley's Well, California and other projects.

In charge of the design department for design build work. In charge of the estimating department, scheduling department, as well as the field crews.

Millstone Unit 1 refueling outage - Responsible for the night shift of over 300 workers to replace radioactive cooling piping systems. Supervised the filtering and removal of contaminated water. Reviewed the quantity of spent fuel rods in storage. Entered the core area with a team of health physics personnel to inspect and supervise piping work. Our shifts were 13 hours per day, 7 days a week for months on end.

Millstone Unit III new construction - A 1,237 megawatt nuclear generating plant located in Waterford, CT. IN charge of all sheet metal installations for 21 buildings, including seismic supports. Set up a welding program to train 80 sheet metal workers to weld to the requirements of the NRC. Supervised a field office staff of 45 individuals which included 6 welding inspectors, 145 foremen and a total crew of 450 sheet metal workers. Also supervised 6 schedulers to support the master schedule of the project.

Coal-Fired Steam Generating Plant for a General Electric Lexan Plastics Plant. This included all piping, setting equipment, installing an ash silo, and starting up the two 5 story boilers.
