This was to support the delivery of Southern Water’s strategic priorities, while protecting and enhancing the company’s reputation in the face of a wide range of operational challenges - for example, leveraging the company’s use of groundbreaking new technology to promote its multi-million pound effort to minimise the impact of sewer flooding on customers across the South East during the wettest winter on record in the UK (2013/14).Also led the development of the company’s five-year strategy and plan to drive behaviour change in 4.5 million customers through innovative and engaging communications, helping to significantly reduce the number of sewer blockages caused by cooking fat, oil and grease (FOG) and items such as wet-wipes being disposed off via the wastewater system.
