If we are not going to respect planetary boundaries anytime soon, we won't have a future for working life either. This is why I'm passionate to do my career in making contemporary societies take those planetary boundaries seriously.Currently I'm working as a Project Coordinator @Sitra, in the project Digital Power and Democracy. The project lasts until March 2026. My core responsibilities include project coordination, stakeholder relations management, research, communications and event planning and management. In the project, we shed light on the various ways of digital power, and explore means to prevent its abuse. We also explore ways to make data economy a building block for more democratic societies. I'm personally interested about the intersection of digital power, data economy and sustainability issues. For example, how is misinformation used to counter climate action?I'm a thesis writer @ University of Helsinki. I did my bachelor's @ the Faculty of Social Sciences, majoring in Social and Public Policy. My Minors were Economics and Philosophy. Currently I'm doing my master's in a new interdisciplinary Sustainability Sciences program called Environmental Change and Global Sustainability. I have only my master's thesis left of my degree, which I'm doing on ecological economics and growth dependencies. I'm potentially interested in other master's thesis opportunities as well. I have several years of work experience from my field of expertise. 2017 I was on the board of my Student Union, and 2018 on the board of National Union of University Students in Finland. These aren't technically jobs, but their workload equals at least that of a full-time job. It is usually said that these positions are a leap ten years forward on one's career path for one year. Additionally, I did my non-military service @ the Ministry of Education and Culture, Secretariat for International Affairs, during May 2020 - March 2021.During 2021, I worked as a research trainee @ the Center for Consumer Society Research (CCSR), Politics of Co-Creation research area, @ University of Helsinki, Faculty of Social Sciences. I assisted Digital Tools for Collective Intelligence (COLDIGIT) and Tailored Metrics for Measuring Industry-Academia Funding Programme (TAILOMETRICS) -projects. In practice we studied digital tools that facilitate collective intelligence and how companies view and value scientific research. I also co-authored a research article on the impact of academic research from the perspective of companies based on my internship.
