Most companies begin with just a few employees, expanding as the demand for their product or service increases. As this expansion takes place, so do the requirements placed on the employer by market forces and regulatory agencies. Many of these requirements are centered on the management of employees. What once took a few hours to administer, quickly transforms into a full-time job for someone who was originally hired to only manage specific duties. The task can seem overwhelming.There are many technologies on the market today promising employers a single source solution. However, technology alone cannot solve all of an employer’s growing pains; human intervention is necessary. An employer’s system for managing a workforce must include consideration of the business’ model, internal policies, compliance, staff, education, training, budgets, available time, and technologies. It is my goal to help employers develop and implement processes which make employee management simple and effective.
