Joel K. Cartwright, a research psychologist with research and evaluation experience in violence, victimization, and suicide prevention within justice-involved adults, military, and veteran populations. Dr. Cartwright’s research efforts have focused on the assessment of criminogenic risks, behavioral health needs, and suicide prevention in service members, veterans, and adults with mental illness. Dr. Cartwright’s experience has included quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting, assisting in the integration of multiple military data sets with over 1.9 million individuals, the development of military specific computer assisted survey instruments, and leading data collection efforts with both active duty military and veteran populations. He has expertise in latent variable models (factor analysis, item response), hierarchical linear modeling, survival models, and screening/assessment evaluation (Receiver Operating Characteristic curves, clinical utility).
