A collection of 26 Hotels across the UK I was Responsible for the promoting, selling, controlling and management of the department and team in order to achieve or exceed the department's budgeted revenue and profitability whilst ensuring that the team maintain company standards together with high levels of customer service and keeping within the budgeted cost guidelines. Having a direct influence in organising events and exhibitions for anything from 10- 1000+ delegates,my role involved making direct contact with new business to generate and help evolve the venues. Through confirmation of enquiries I would generate proposals, contracts, make amendments and follow up package details to ensure every detail has been overlooked and is consistent. Working within this role requires very high organisational skills, communication within the team and group, acute numeracy skills to help assist in forecasting process for the sales department and exceptional knowledge of the facilities available for potential future clients.
