About Joelle Griffith, Mps

A sports and entertainment industry professional with a diverse background in both the corporate and private sectors, Joelle D. Griffith has a demonstrated history of working in special events and sports philanthropy. As a former graduate intern for both the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation and the Nationals Dream Foundation, she has extensive experience in the nonprofit sector for professional sports teams. During her time with both organizations, she led initiatives to further connect the teams with their respective communities, planned special events, including the Nationals Dream Gala, MLB All-Star Week Legacy Projects, and Redskins Welcome Home Luncheon, and cumulatively raised over $1 million through the various fundraisers and programs that she coordinated, which directly engaged and contributed toward the development of underserved youth and communities in the Washington, DC region. Additionally, Joelle has completed professional internships with the Atlanta Falcons during their 2015 Training Camp, NBC Sports at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and Sports International, based in Laurel, MD. She has also worked with the marketing team for the Washington Wizards and the Monumental Sports franchise since 2017, pushing their grassroots efforts such as the G Wiz Kids Club, Cradle Club, and Club W. Through her involvement with Rose Global Solutions as a freelance event consultant, Joelle has also managed the production and operations for multiple high-profile events. In 2017, Joelle embarked on an entrepreneurial endeavor. In an effort to capitalize on the extensive relationships she had developed over the years, ranging from executives to young professionals, globally and locally, she established The Young Rich Network, a community organization designed to help young professionals establish connections within their fields, and beyond, through different networking opportunities, including, but not limited to, social mixers, professional forums, and career development events. Joelle received her MPS in Sports Industry Management from Georgetown University in December 2018. She received her Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration, double-majoring in Marketing and Management, from the University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business in May 2017, where she also double-minored in Sport & Entertainment Management and Portuguese.
