While working as an Operational Services Supervisor, I improved my communication skills by managing a large number of individuals to further our company and continuing to assist as many customers as possible. For example, in this position, I have managed, directed and coordinated over 20 employees to ensure they followed all required policies and protocols. Likewise, while managing the workers, I have also trained each individual to ensure they were capable of performing each task asked by their position. While teaching and working with each individual, I also communicated with other departments to ensure they received all information pertaining to our area. Through each of these duties, I have improved my communication skills by working with employees and other departments to ensure the company ran smoothly and to its full potential. I have gained much knowledge of healthcare and insurance as a result of the changes from the Affordable Care Act. While processing medical claims, I communicated with clients to provide them with information on various medical plans. Through these positions, I have learned how to utilized programs to keep track of each claim or plan and assist customers to resolve any issues. To complete this task, I prepared and managed present employee development plans and performance appraisals while maintaining in-depth knowledge of plan benefit guidelines and regulations to help customers choose the best plan for themselves. Through these experience, I have increased my knowledge of information in the healthcare and insurance fields to make a difference in my customers’ lives.
