I received my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from UNCW in 1991 and my Master of Science in Accountancy in 1997. After graduation, I spent six years in public accounting, where I worked in both tax and audit. Upon leaving the firm, I went to work for a client in the restaurant industry where, for twelve years, I was responsible for all areas of accounting, including General Ledger, Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash Flow Management and many Human Resources areas as well. In 2008, I returned to tax preparation on a part-time basis, adding bookkeeping and payroll services in 2011. Since 2016, I have been actively building my tax and accounting practice. In the summer of 2018, I partnered with Kim Peace to form Cape Fear Tax and Accounting Solutions, LLC. Our clients include individuals as well as contractors, doctors’ offices, restaurants, marketing agencies, local non-profits and law firms. I am well-versed in all QuickBooks versions, Peachtree and Microsoft Office.I am committed to putting the needs of my clients first.
