He started his career in Singapore as the Group’s Sommelier for Les Amis before moving on to become the Director of Operations for one of Singapore’s leading Food and Beverage group.Venturing into entrepreneurship after a decade of working for other people, Dato’ Joel started his first company, an F&B consultancy, in 2013, successfully launching restaurant concepts across the ASEAN region. Agrivo International Limited is Dato’ Joel’s second venture, an agriculture investment and management company.As a co-founder, Dato’ Joel is responsible for managing Agrivo’s subsidiaries ranging from established SME’s to new start-ups being incubated under the Agrivo International umbrella. In 2016, to recognize his contribution to China’s One Belt One Road Policy, the committee of the Chinese Pepper Board appointed him Vice-President of the Hainan Pepper Association.
