Joined via Xamarin acquisition ... worked with the Microsoft documentation team to migrate all managed API documentation from MSDN to the new https://docs.microsoft.com/dotnet/api/ browser, after customizing and integrating MDOC into the reference publishing pipeline.Later, became a tech lead in the Developer Relations engineering group, focused on improving the reference pipeline, and responsible for the docs search system. Partnered with the Azure Search team on the largest pre-launch pilot of their new cognitive search and answers feature with the documentation index.

Worked on the http://caloriecount.com mobile applications (Android, iOS), both directly contributing, and acting as technical lead for other iOS and Android engineers. I worked with the team to launch a major new feature in the form of "Calorie Camp"; a social network to encourage community accountability and support for users going through their weight loss journey. SiTEL contracted me to help them integrate video into their XNA-based training application. They wanted to use the Scurvy.Media library (I had previously developed as an open source project) to play video on the Xbox using XNA.

G-Trade is an established financial services company which handles stock trade settlements and clearing. Projects included: development process improvement (TFS, Unit Testing), design and implementation of a new version of their client management application (C#/WinForms), maintenance/troubleshooting of existing systems, and was involved in a major data center move.

Developed two prototype implementations using Managed DirectX and XNA for rendering Video onto a texture and displaying it on arbitrary geometry. This work later led to the publishing of the Scurvy.Media open source project

Started on the IS team at Tiburon and helped develop software for many of the internal business processes such as; a purchase request system for the studio CFO, asset tracking system for NCAA, NASCAR, and Madden teams, and a new intranet for the studio using Sharepoint Portal Server including all content from previous custom intranet, and a new interactive facility map which shows every person’s badge photo overlaid over their office/cube.I was asked to join the Tools Group in late ’05 to work on content pipelines for Superman Returns: The Game. Particularly, I helped write an audio pipeline GUI for the Audio team that allowed them to mix the game in real time while the game was running on the console (C#, WinForms, Remoting, XBox 360). The audio was one of the highest rated aspects of the game by critics.

I started the user group as a way to meet other developers interested in Microsoft’s upcoming .NET framework. The first meetings were small gatherings of like-minded individuals, but it quickly grew and is now one of the largest developer groups in the central florida area. The Orlando CodeCamp, which is organized by ONETUG board members in conjunction with other nearby user group leaders is a yearly gathering of several hundred professionals.

As a contractor for several of the firm’s clients, I learned to quickly come up to speed on a project’s status, and provide expert guidance for the client’s software team. The experience also brought me to a wide array of different industries such as insurance, health services, and education. I used ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET, WinForms, and the .NET Compact Framework in my various assignments.

Paypal wanted to have an idea about how many people were using paypal functionality on the web. I was contracted to write a custom web crawler for paypal. The crawler was written in C# and used an index of websites obtained from dmoz.org as a seed.

WSI is a third party insurance administrator which manages clients on behalf of insurance companies and agencies. The company provides billing services, in addition to online enrollment. Started this company as a junior asp/vbscript developer, and was soon promoted to a VB6 developer working on core business logic for the payment/billing processor.
