The school was an effort to understand life's OS(operating system). Early career opportunities in heavy industry Superfund clean-ups revealed the effects of negligence at scale. My work progressed into business ownership as a staffing model specific to environmental management. A direct effort was made to couple my contract-staffing business with an Enterprise Environmental Management software under LFR Engineering & Technology development, marketed as Green Suite, Half Moon Bay, CA. The project failed for many reasons but the impact carried on. As traction grew, the 90's internet bubble popped, funding fell, and direction changed.Continuing forward, I focused on contract software programming, sharpening skills to access, manipulate and analyze data for customers. I taught myself server-side platform management and internet-based programming (LAMP stack). Building on this knowledge, I to pushed into eCommerce opensource programs. I secured new clients by developing simple sites with demanding aesthetic while adopting Web 2.0 enabling features.My scientific training & rigor is instrumental in project success because I am comfortable with data manipulation at scale, operating with keen attention to detail to edit complex code efficiently. This success propelled me down the website building & operations path, building the eCommerce Platform for my customer ProductsDirect.com. Earlier efforts to start a business provided good operational understanding.Building upon the foundation of ProductsDirect.com, I advocated for a sustainable product mix in an echo to my early education. That focus has been answered with a marketplace embrace. The journey continues into Web 3.0. with a constellation of applications that extend the eCommerce catalog's offerings to support the entire customer journey. From product curation research to unboxing, the ProductsDirect.com mantra is that customer service is part of the journey, and sustainability is the guide. In this way, I have accomplished the objective of producing a change in the world using my skills to craft an eCommerce agency as a market force to support a customer journey that aligns with market forces of sustainability. As a result, my customer, in a once-coal-dependent economy, can now sell sustainable products nationwide and prosper.
