Joel M. He has developed a solid reputation among private practitioners as a well-respected, knowledgeable attorney and a creative problem-solver. Mr. Greenberg provides a wide range of services to health care professionals, including helping them choose the best form of entity in which to practice; preparing their employment, partnership and shareholder agreements; and guiding them on malpractice insurance issues; the purchase, sale, and dissolution of their professional practices; and how to structure their business arrangements so as not to violate federal and state fraud, abuse, self-referral, and professional misconduct laws. Mr. Greenberg is well regarded as an effective negotiator and mediator. He is a dynamic speaker who lectures frequently on health law issues at hospitals, medical and dental societies, colleges, and bar associations. He served for many years as the Editor of the New York Health Law Update and as the Co-Editor-In-Chief of the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th editions of "The Legal Manual for New York Physicians", a joint publication of the New York State Bar Association and the Medical Society of the State of New York. Mr. Greenberg was selected as a SuperLawyer in each of years 2011-2021. He has also been awarded the highest rating given by Martindale-Hubbell's peer review rating system—AV (preeminent)—and been recognized as a “Top Lawyer of Long Island” by the Herald Community Newspaper organization. Mr. Greenberg is a recipient of the 2019 Leadership in Law Award from the Long Island Business News. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Health Law at the State University of New York's College at Old Westbury and is credentialed on several of the legal service panels maintained by the New York State Dental Association ("NYSDA").
