I helped people with cancer and their loved ones during their journey with the illness. I mainly worked with children who had recently lost parents to cancer, men and their spouses with recent prostate cancer diagnoses, advanced cancer cases and young adult cancer patients and survivors.

In this position I am filling the role to ensure that critical business functions will be available to customers, suppliers, regulators, and other entities that must have access to those functions. These activities include many daily chores such as project management, system backups, change control, and help desk. This is focusing on system interactions within the organization and critical third parties essential to the business development. In this position I am also attempting to mitigate crisis and ensure the continuity of the functions while allowing for growth and development within a struggling business environment.I have had to quickly learn essential roles and tasks as performed throughout the office and business while suggesting changes that might offer greater rewards in the future. This has incorporated many of my skills in Crisis Management as this department is dealing with a major event that threatens to harm the organization and its stakeholders.

Here I worked with children that suffer from learning disabilities yet are of average to high intellect, as the school librarian. I developed and implemented a customized curriculum and library experience for this population. I worked in many other capacities throughout my time at PCS, employing many different skills. I also custom built a database for the school in order to organize the entire collection of curriculum materials in excess of 15,000 items.

Designed and implemented the merging of two libraries resulting in one library at a new campus. Met with architects, executive director, clergy and congregants to aid in actualizing their visions of the new facility. Designed and developed a children’s library of approximately 5,000 volumes. Maintained two adult libraries at two different campuses of approximately 8,000 volumes (prior to 2008). Coordinated volunteers to assist in circulation procedures. Reported to a library board of overseers all activities and proposals to help improve the library. Initiated the implementation of online/computer oriented learning and materials management in the library.

This Job entailed updating and maintaining database records of library materials. I worked to preserve antique and rare books. I also prepared all incoming materials for circulation including precious and fragile materials that required special handling. Handled reference questions for the Los Angeles Dean of Students involving special skills of research in Databases ranging from Lexis-Nexis to Proquest as well as the SHOAH Foundation database access and navigation. Also continued the project of materials to be delineated and sent to HUC from the Skirball de-acquisition project, sorted and cataloged.
