As one of the first few hundred employees at BMW Manufacturing Corporation, I was brought in as an accountant, but I spent a large amount of my time working on key start-up programs. Some of the largest plant wide programs that I led were the Records Management program development, expatriate housing rationalization, and the establishment of an employee travel card program with American Express.In my accounting role, I focused on accounts payable processing for construction and contractor related expenses. I also managed the monthly sales and use tax filings and audit support working closely with the tax team at BMW NA. Outside of my finance duties, I managed the plant's insurance and risk management program working with BMW AG's Bavaria Wirtsagentur GmbH broker team in Munich, Germany.
