I have lived a mission-first approach to information security, responding to the realities of modern cyber operations in high-threat information environments by providing high-performance and high assurance operational communications; enterprise IM/IT governance and planning, including security and accreditation audits; SIEM and SOC operations; incident response, investigation and remediation; capability development and integration. I am experienced in operational planning, logistics support, budgeting, training development, scheduling, and project management, all based on government security frameworks, ITSG-33 and NIST/FIPS standards. I have 9 years experience in developing and leading large-scale information security and operational risk practices for tactical and enterprise networks, and 10 years successfully leading teams and managing people in strictly hierarchic military organizations, less-formal high-performing organizations, and matrixed engineering organizations. I have led diverse teams of specialists including military members, public servants, and contractors. On many sides of the Cyber world, I've worked as Cyber Security business development lead writing proposals, evaluating emerging technologies, negotiating solutions, and managing business relationships for a Fortune 500 multinational company.
