The field of Records and Information Management has been my focus for many years now. I have assisted in the implementation of corporate procedures and policies, records retention scheduling, active record systems, storage operations, and disposition functions. A big part of my history has been working with key stakeholders within each business unit to teach current policies, practices and good RM practices as well as identify needs and develop solutions. I have a passion for teaching others and have been doing so in both my professional and personal life for about 20 years. My professional experience includes identifying areas of need and developing materials to meet those needs. I have had the opportunity to develop and apply my skills in a wide variety of areas.In addition, I also have experience in auditing functions to standardize practices, organize and streamline records processes, and merge legacy systems.I am an active member in ARMA International and currently service as the Vice-President of the Northern Illinois Chapter.

  Develop, plan, coordinate and implement all aspects of the Records Management Program Office for Zurich in North America (U.S. and Canada). This includes traditional records management systems and practices and development of a program including emerging technologies. My accountabilities include: • Planning and administration of ZNA Records Management Program. • Advise, research, analyze, and consult with legal in the development of mandated records and electronic management policies and procedures in accordance with Zurich Financial Services corporate policies and federal and state laws. • Oversee the development of guidelines and standards for record keeping, filing and classification of physical and electronic documents. • Track records from creation to final disposition. Monitor collection and security of records and destruction of documents. • Staying current with archival, record management and related technologies. • Staying current on legislation and legal policy in regards to records. • Work with IT to develop records and electronic management policies, procedures, and practices. Provide lead on development and application of procedures for managing electronic records. • Responsible for onsite and offsite storage of all records. Manage outside records storage contract and coordinate with Procurement. • Develop and conduct awareness programs and presentation to train employees in records and electronic Management practices. • Provide technical advice that enables a customer to solve a problem or improve business. • Develop and maintain positive customer relationships by meeting regularly with customers when no specific initiative is underway. • Analyze needs, Anticipate customer needs, and monitor trends in order to develop and recommend alternatives for improvements to processes, customer service or products.
