I’m a modern digital media producer, builder, and thinker. I write, edit, research, report, tweak, tweet, and translate. I build progressive, responsive web solutions (from scratch or open source). I animate.I interact. I shoot photos. I record video and music. I’ve worked with local bakeries, small universities, sprawling start-ups, French circus performers, and Italian bike nuts. I aim to make the world a better place.

I helped manage the day-to-day operations of PSmag.com, the website of Pacific Standard, a national magazine focusing on public policy from the perspective of the social sciences. I edited images, fixed bugs, posted stories, wrote blogs, produced slideshows, and created interactive graphics. I was also the voice of the magazine on social media.

I assigned, edited and produced blogs, videos and multimedia slideshows, and oversaw daily operation of Inlander.com, the website for the Pacific Northwest Inlander. I also edited, proofed and finaled all copy for the weekly paper and other publications; managed newspaper special sections; ran the “Last Word” feature; and served as the “in-house expert on style, grammar and good writing.” Before that, I served as a staff writer, covering development, transportation, politics, the environment, culture, and higher education. I also organized several weekly features and spearheaded innovative, big-picture cover packages.
