Chemical Engineer - Offshore
CurrentResponsible for supporting and managing the chemical laboratory function to operations requirements for field monitoring. Also, for the overall administrative, quality, technical laboratory activities. Manage the chemicals utilized on board of operated Production assets with the aim of guaranteeing flow assurance; maximize production, support for asset integrity and troubleshooting in full compliance with all applicable regulation and international standards. Research, analyzes data, and designs solutions to improve crude oil production processes and equipment. Minimizing waste, increasing product quality, and implementing safety procedures; Ensure safety and environmental protection regulations and instructions are respected throughout the chemicals chain; Maintain and keep up to date the technical documentation and MSDS database and ensure correct labelling of the tote tanks; Ensure to improve energy efficiency of the FPSO and reduce GHG emissions linked to the treatment function; Treatment / Chemicals supply; Define and ensure implementation of the chemical treatment strategy, in line with flow assurance and process requirements; Coordinate the qualification and contractual procedure for any new chemical in liaison with vendor specialists; Manage the chemicals contract in liaison with vendor to ensure timely delivery and appropriate stock level on board the FPSO; Establish chemical dosage, ensure site implementation and associated monitoring (injection, sampling, and analysis on residuals); Coordinate activities related to Sulphate Removal Unit (SRU) and ensure high availability of the system; Liaise with Corrosion specialists for the potential definition and implementation of corrosion prevention and monitoring strategy; Coordinate the laboratory activities (routine and non-routine analysis), define and ensure the laboratories audits; SAP chemical reception. Gas analysis and treatment follow up.Subsea treatment and follow up.
