After graduating from Western Washington University in 2007, I began my food and beverage career working for a group of adult family homes. At the same time I was also working as a bartender at a local bar. It was very soon after that I realized I wanted to own my own bar and I started making the necessary moves and connections to make that happen.In 2010 I made my first acquisition when I purchased Magnolia Village Pub (Magnolia). From there, I purchased the Lamplighter (formerly known as Sweet Lou's, Greenwood), Normandy Park Ale House (Normandy Park), Duvall Tavern (Duvall), Targy's Tavern (Queen Anne), Pint Defiance (Tacoma), Larry's Tavern (West Seattle), Poggie Tavern (West Seattle) and the 4B's (Ballard). In 2017, I was diagnosed with LHON (Leber Heriditary Optic Neuropathy) which causes sudden and rapid loss of central vision. With that diagnosis, I immersed himself in the visually impaired community of Seattle and the LHON community around the US, while also overseeing operations of several of my bars. I was able to utilize my community and relationships and learn how to navigate life and business with my disability.In 2018 I met my now wife and business partner Margo and in 2022 we welcomed our first daughter into the world.Currently the Stedman Group owns Duvall Tavern, Targy's Tavern, Larry's Tavern and the Poggie Tavern.
