I have a genuine interest in helping people feel better. To accomplish this work, I include a thorough intake, pulse and tongue diagnosis, acupuncture, moxibustion, auricular seeds, cupping, massage, herbal formulas, nutrition, stretches, and exercises.

The auricular clinic draws a diverse group of patients of varying ages, ethnicities and backgrounds from all over San Francisco. It provided me the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population while providing group setting auricular acupuncture. Some of the conditions I treated include, but are not limited to, insomnia, smoking cessation, numerous types of pain, stress, anxiety, PMS, and digestive disorders.

Interns typically treat an average of four patients per shift, and see diverse health complaints including pain, women’s issues, smoking cessation, depression, anxiety, stress, injury, HIV/AIDS and more. At this location, interns have full access to multiple treatment methods including acupuncture, moxibustion, electrostimulation, cupping, Tui Na/Shiatsu massage and herbal prescriptions.

As an acupuncture intern at CPMC, I treated paralyzed and limited mobility patients who had experienced strokes or injuries to the brain or spine. Medical doctors refer patients for acupuncture to help with pain management, post-surgical rehabilitation, speech therapy, motor coordination, muscle tone and weakness, depression and anxiety. CPMC provided a collaborative Acupuncture and Western medicine environment dedicated to healing..
