• Six-month internship funded by Global Affairs Canada’s International Youth Internship Program (IYIP).• Assessed and analyzed technology use in state-managed trade schools known as CETPROs (Centros de educación tech-no-productiva) and subsequently, designed and implemented a training program to assist teachers and facilitate greater technology use in their pedagogical methods.

• Payoke is a Belgian AGO (autonomous government organization; similar to NGO) that is funded by the Belgian government to provide shelter and aid to recognized victims of human trafficking (THB). • Payoke also advocates at the national and european level to ensure best pratices on THB are being adopted and implemented• Maintained trilingual social media platform (website, Facebook etc.), developed and prepared various research projects, attended meetings and prepared minute and briefings for senior Payoke staff.• Collaborated with the Centre for European and International Policy Action (CEIPA), a partner of Payoke

Dhaka, Bangladesh

• Six-month internship with local non-governmental organization (NGO) which provides research on migration and migration-related trends in South Asia (climate change migration, Rohingya prosecution etc.)• Internship was funded by the Government of Canada and Rideau Hall, and co-ordinated and overseen by the University of Victoria’s Centre for Asia-Pacific Initiatives (CAPI).• Participated in the civil-society organized People’s Global Action (PGA) and the United Nation’s 2016 Global Forum on Migration and Development (GFMD) with an aim to highlight youth in processes of migration and development; subsequent participation in GFMD 2017 in Berlin.• Translated, edited and compiled various policy documents including the publication of “Dreams and Realities: Untold Stories of Migrants” book which was launched in the presence of government ministers, national judges and academics.
