● Serving at the pleasure of and in consultation with the Mayor of San Francisco● Create and implement equitable policies that correspond to budgetary goals, capacity limitations, growing congestion, and increased need for safe, reliable and affordable transportation for everyone moving around or through San Francisco.● Consult with senior staff and diverse community partners to develop and implement policy solutions to challenges in providing safe, multi-modal transportation options in San Francisco, including parking, transit, bicycling, taxi cabs, car and bike sharing, and bike and pedestrian infrastructure and programs.● Chair the Policy and Governance Committee to help senior and executive SFMTA staff develop technically sound, economically viable and creative policy solutions to new and ongoing challenges resulting in improved access to and efficiency of safe transportation within San Francisco● Serve as a liaison between the public and the SFMTA executive staff. ● Represented the SFMTA for 1.5 years on the Caltrain Joint Powers Board with officials from San Mateo and Santa Clara counties in making policy and planning decisions for Caltrain.

Regional Planning Director● Consulted with over 30 stakeholder groups to design, approve and launch the implementation of AC Transit’s $180M East Bay Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project.● Facilitated multi-lingual community partners in developing neighborhood plans for improved quality of life through transit-oriented development (TOD) projects throughout the SF Bay Area.● Consulted with a mayoral committee and key stakeholders in developing an economically feasible Development Impact Fee Policy to help fund infrastructure improvements in Oakland.● Partnered with cities and transit agencies in identifying and building community support for new projects, policies and ballot measures in the Bay Area, including the Central Subway, Geary BRT, Van Ness BRT, AC Transit BRT, VTA BRT, Measure KK in Oakland, the $3.5B BART Bond Measure RR, and Regional Measure 3 (the next Bay Area bridge toll increase, to be on the June 2018 ballot).● Wrote data-driven grant applications with the City of Oakland, resulting in $1.4M of discretionary State funding for staff and infrastructure along the International Boulevard (BRT) corridor.● Developed policy and community support for BART’s affordable housing policy.● Consulted and led strategies with the City of Oakland for the creation and launching of equitable, updated Bicycle Plan, especially in underrepresented communities.● Helped the City of Oakland develop policies better manage on and off-street parking.● Manage and provide guidance, supervision, and budget planning for a team of three staff, plus interns and volunteers in related work throughout the region.● Assist executive team in strategic planning, communication and fundraising efforts.● Led research and report writing efforts for equity considerations for a second transbay tube.● Managed community outreach and engagement efforts to distribute Clipper Cards and emerging mobility information in low-income communities of color in San Francisco.

● Organized and facilitated a coalition made up of labor, social justice, and environmental advocacy groups to win a Community Benefits Agreement for a major TOD Project, resulting in the construction of 147 affordable housing units, living wage jobs and green building construction at an inner-city transit hub (now called the “Ballpark Village”).● Coordinated a coalition of diverse groups (mentioned above) for the inclusion of stronger affordable housing and economic benefits in the Downtown Plan.
