Hello! My name is Joel Vazquez and I am an advocate for all individuals who want to be more included, heard, represented, and belonged in organizational spaces. This has allowed me to practice centering my profession around principles that allow me to connect and make an impact within talent acquisition and diversity and inclusion in the workspace.I have been able to rediscover my passion for innovative change and making an impact through looking at how an inclusive culture in the work space can aid in institutions and change. At Chemonics, I have had the pleasure of working with six individuals to start-up a diversity and inclusion initiative for an organization of 4000+ individuals, while seamlessly forming a diversity outreach strategy for persons with disabilities. This led me to my past role as a Diversity and Inclusion Recruitment Manager at Venture For America (VFA) to spearhead efforts to attract the organization's most diverse Fellowship class of 200+ individuals and aid in starting up VFA's own DEI initiative. This cultivated in me serving as the Inclusion Business Partner at Curology and eventually, my current role as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Lead at Dataiku.My acquired skills have more than prepared me to face new challenges and continue growing as a professional at Dataiku as a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Manager.
