About Joel JohnsonJJ Strategies, Inc. was founded by Joel Johnson in 2020. He is also currently a partner at Community Solutions Consulting where he has been for over eight years. Joel brings a depth of knowledge and experience that sets JJ Strategies, Inc. apart from all other firms in regard to healthcare and criminal justice policy. He originally strengthened and expanded the expertise of CSC in these same areas, and over the course of his lobbying career has earned a reputation of tenacity and integrity. His skills in regard to the political process, policymaking, and budgeting/appropriations are second to none. After working with UAC during the 2011 General Session, Joel was recruited to serve as the Interim ED of the SL County Party. Joel served in this role for six months before taking a position to serve as Director of the Capitol Hill Association. The Capitol Hill Association is the largest trade association representing the Utah Lobbyists themselves. What better way to gain experience than to report directly to the president of the lobby of lobbyists.Since becoming a contract lobbyist, he has had tremendous success working on policy initiatives and funding priorities. Some of the programs he’s created as well as other successes have been highlighted on some of the country’s most prestigious platforms, from the White House to the National Association of State Legislators.Joel currently serves as chairman of the board of the Helping Hand Association (the Haven) and holds various other positions with multiple nonprofit associations, representing a variety of industries. His advice is heavily valued and sought after by many professionals, particularly in the behavioral health and criminal justice industries.Joel believes the most important qualities in any business relationship are those of honesty and integrity. Joel loves living in Utah and currently resides in Draper with his wife Ashlyn, and his two children Jaxon and Emery.
