I have been passionate about building and design for all my life. Throughout my 21 years of experience in the industry, I have been a laborer, a union plumber, an architect, a design manager for a general contractor, a lead project manager for a construction management firm, and an independent consultant. Working for a variety of disciplines within the industry has taught me to facilitate and interface across diverse platforms, and I take pride in my communication and collaborative approach. For most of my career working as an architect and a general contractor, I have learned that these disciplines speak two different languages. Those within my professional network often commend me on how I can easily translate and visualize both points of view. Fortunately, I have been put into positions that have helped me realize that I am a natural-born leader, while being an exceptional team player at the same time. This is driven by my capability to communicate effectively up, down, and across. Trust and relationships are key to successful projects. Beyond the groundwork of being able to effectively manage costs, schedules and expectations of a project, my strengths lie within being able to build and mold a top-notch team. Supporting the team with the right tools and lessons learned from my experiences allows them to clear the daily challenges and have capacity to problem solve together. I am always the first to roll up my sleeves and get into the details, however, through the growth of my career, I have also learned to take a step back and look at the bigger picture, ensuring client expectations are met. Leadership, mentorship, communication, and organization are just a few of my keystone traits, but my real enjoyment is bringing people together, building relationships, and resolving challenges as a team.
