Joe started his career as Occupational Hygienist in the South African Steel Industry before moving into a consultancy role. Relocating to the United Kingdom in 2013 Joe joined Envirocare Technical Consultancy as Senior Occupational Hygienist, before moving on to Bureau Veritas UK Ltd in a similar capacity in 2017. With his experience in engaging clients and ensuring excellent service delivery Joe quickly established himself as a key member of the Occupational Hygiene Team. Showing great ambition, determination and a strive toward an efficient and excellent team culture Joe was promoted to Occupational Hygiene Team Leader in March 2020. Joe’s managerial responsibilities was expanded to include the Storage & Racking Team by August 2020.Showing significant growth in both teams Joe was then seconded to Interim Business Unit Manager for the Occupational Hygiene, Storage & Racking, Risk & Safety and Fire Science teams within the Consultancy Division. The secondment, forming part of maternity cover, was from October 2021 to February 2022.Following the completion of the secondment Joe returned as full time Occupational Hygiene Manager. During this time he was instrumental in merging the Occupational Hygiene and Acoustic & Vibration Teams. In June 2022 he took on the role of Commercial Manager for the rebranded “AVOH” team. With ultimate responsibility for the pipeline and growth of the AVOH team Joe is instrumental in ensuring continued growth and development of the team. To date the team has seen significant improvement in efficiencies, cross-skilling and maximising our service offering to clients. Throughout his time in this position Joe continued to drive collaboration between teams outside of his immediate AVOH remit with a view to provide clients with a comprehensive service delivery. His networking skills and ability to facilitate conversations on a wide variety of service areas whilst keeping abreast of the commercial and business impacts in the long run has been instrumental in this.
