Joe Marcy is the Parking & Public Improvement Commissioner for the City of Manhattan Beach and former Chair of the Cultural Arts Commission. He served three years as President of the Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair Association. Marcy serves on the Global Board of Trustees for Meeting Professionals International (MPI) the largest event industry association worldwide. He was President of the Southern California Chapter in 2017-2018. Marcy was later recognized as the Global Member of the Year out of 17,000 members. As Senior Executive for See Monterey, Marcy contributes to the destination’s sustainability and tourism efforts. He was the recipient of the Western Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus scholarship. Marcy became a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) from the Events Industry Council. He’s also certified in Meeting Management (CMM) and as an Incentive Travel Professional (CITP). In 2015, Collaborate Magazine recognized Marcy in their “40 under 40” issue and in 2016, was recognized as “Visionary Supplier of the Year” by Smart Meetings Magazine.
