I was 11 years old when I joined the working class. Dad was the foreman in a spring and wire forms factory so that's how I spent my summers from then on... and a few days a week after school... and Saturdays. I learned how to operate and repair machines three times my size and how to drive a forklift; but more importantly, Dad taught me the value of a dollar, the importance of efficiency, and how strong leadership can motivate those around you.Now a senior leader with over 25 years of experience, I pride myself on being able to understand the needs of different groups, inspire key employees, negotiate with stakeholders, and develop strong relationships with a wide range of personalities.I've worn many hats in my career: project manager, analyst, salesman, writer, trainer, mentor, leader and, yes, spring-maker. My experience has taught me that, no matter my role, my professional value is rooted in a few key beliefs:> People and Culture come first.> People can only be held accountable when they are given the necessary tools to do their job and they are empowered to make decisions.> Process is king - and I relish opportunities to improve upon it. > I'm comfortable enough to embrace new ideas and implement them well through good people leadership.> I don't care who gets credit; the team's success is my success.
