Thixoforming (Magnesium Injection Molding): Was in charge of taking our facility closer to a JIT plant. Participated in Internal ISO Auditing. Developed Standardized Work Instructions and reduced downtime due to Machine Setup by 60% using Theory of Constraints, thereby increasing production line output. Analyzed and improved machine set-up processes including tooling design, decreasing setup time by 70%, thereby increasing production line output. Used Theory of Constraints to identify the steps in a tooling setup that could be done while the machine was still running, reorganized the steps and supplied the technicians with a checklist to provide standardization and communication between shifts.Participated in Precision Castparts’ 6 month Six-Sigma Training course focused on the five phases: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control (DMAIC).
