As a CPA and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), I am unique in that I can provide increased value by combining my knowledge of tax law with investing to devise investment and retirement approaches focused on tax savings and creating life changing wealth strategies. Many high net worth individuals and entrepreneurs have complicated tax situations. I get a deep sense of satisfaction, when I come up with an idea; the client likes it and asks us to carry it out.After my Grandfather passed away 20 years ago, I found myself with the responsibility of helping my mom work through the many estate issues including handling the inheritance of a family farm business that was divided amongst my family. This experience brought to light the many struggles and complications that families struggle with after a loved one dies. Suddenly, they are expected to navigate a long list of unfamiliar rules, legal issues, tax implications and many requirements. It was at this time that I began my education aimed at helping others with estate and trusts. This education is a continuous journey that has allowed me to guide others with confidence. Part of this education involved serving on the board and as President of both the Valley Estate Planners and Central Arizona Estate Planning Council. As I started my career specializing in taxes in a large accounting firm in Los Angeles, I discovered my preference for working with individuals and their businesses. I found it much more rewarding to help an individual with their finances and in guiding them to make life-changing decisions versus working with large corporations.
