System architecture and implementation with a skunkworks group dedicated to business and system prototype development. Hands on hardware and software design and implementation spanning a variety of systems and environments including ENUM based number routing, short code registries, handicapped accessibility, wide scale VOIP platforms, financial and security prototypes. Provided evaluation, analysis and integration support for M/A activities. Led red team R/D group that developed and executed training scenarios based on emerging attack vectors with specialized, high capacity network traffic generators. Work included product development support and response evaluation.

Led architecture, development and deployment on large-scale imaging and information management systems for medical records. Product suite was capable of high speed (200 page duplex / 400 images per minute) scanning and had multiple delivery options including high-speed printing, fax and specialized data transmission. System was successfully deployed in variety of large and small hospital environments and used in medical record, billing, laboratory and emergency departments.System architect / co-author for web based order fulfillment system used by insurance companies to order medical records through internet. System provided several innovative features that resulted in successful patent award.Direct management of engineering, support and system infrastructure operations.Promoted to CIO in 1999. Extensive M/A work centering on merger target evaluation and technical integration.

Engineering director for telephone service bureau / computer integration company. Extensive design and implementation work with large scale (multiple T3) inbound/outbound call processing and voice / data integration. Technologies developed internally or in conjunction with other technology partners for resale included speaker independent speech recognition, the first affordable SS7 STP, large scale fax transmission systems and automatic voice response / live operator / database integration. In house system (run as service bureau) was capable of handling thousands of simultaneous inbound or outbound calls and serviced numerous large clients with automated and live operator services. Authored PPVLink, a client/server communication system that connected cable offices throughout US to central location for PPV billing and management. NBC later purchased exclusive rights to this system. Functioned in technical and program/project management roles for major clients including Bell Atlantic. Company sold technology division and assets to Stratus Technologies in late 1992. Transferred to Stratus and completed transition efforts.

At this point in it's history, the company developed systems for a variety of government requirements including specialized information processing and classified military information / warfare systems. Hired as Field Engineer, promoted through all ranks and moved into international support. Traveled extensively supporting military and civilian deployments worldwide until transferred to Systems Development Group in 1985. Worked as staff and was later promoted to manager for hardware selection and integration. Developed system architecture based on RFP and provided system engineering or management for numerous successful contract awards (totaling 500m+) covering all military branches. Built and supported prototype systems throughout testing for operational capabilities demonstrations and mil-spec certification. Lead designer / technology manager for battlefield deployed information system (272m) awarded in 1987. Significant experience with contract response, subcontractor selection/negotiation, system-manufacturing specifications and large-scale system deployment/implementation.
