In 2013, after 25 years as a non-profit manager in New York City, I decided to pursue a career in real estate. I had become interested in real estate after purchasing a few investment properties. I obtained my Pennsylvania Real Estate license in August of 2014 and began working with a team at Keller Williams that worked primarily with real estate investors. As I gained experience doing rentals and helping investors maximize their profits, I began working as a buyer agent and further developed a client base of investors, buyers and sellers. In October of 2015, I was offered an opportunity to work with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Cassidon Realty where I have been extremely fortunate to work closely with some very experienced agents and brokers and have expanded my practice to include commercial listings and sales.While the nonprofit world is quite different from real estate, those same qualities that served me well in my previous career - honesty, hard work, always being available and the commitment to continuing to learn and expand my knowledge base have helped me to earn the trust and confidence of many new clients. Provided oversight and coordination of services for all CASES youth programs, including alternatives to incarceration, placement, and detention for more than 500 young men and women annually in New York’s Supreme and Family Courts and a Learning to Work program that serves primarily court involved youth.Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the Court Employment Project, a six-month alternative-to-incarceration program providing case management, education and employment services, mental health and substance abuse counseling and referrals, arts and theater programming and outdoor education.Oversee staff of 60 employees, including direct supervision of program directors and youth programs court staff. Coordinate court operations in four boroughs, set intake policy, and liaise with Specialized Courts, Department of Probation, and others to expand use of community alternatives for youth.

Managed program, including court operations, case management, and specialized services for the largest provider of community alternatives for young felony offenders in New York City. Supervised staff of 45 employees, set and implemented policy, and ensured that participants received appropriate services.Instituted changes to and expansion of services that led to highest program success rate in over eight years. New services included mandatory mental health screening and community mental health referrals; expansion of tutoring, GED classes, and school liaison services; licensure as an institutional GED testing site; and new protocols for linking participants to aftercare services.

Responsible for Education, Employment, and Health and Drug Units, Career Exploration (a school-to-work program), peer education program, community service program, and all recreational activities for the Court Employment Project.Developed an adventure-based education program to provide positive educational experiences in an outdoor setting, develop leadership and team-building skills. Led more than 40 day trips for skiing, mountain biking, rock climbing, and kayaking as well as coordinating 5 overnight camping trips.Spearheaded initiative to create and implement an art therapy program as a means of teaching conflict resolution and coping with bereavement.
